As part of European Heritage Days, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery invites visitors to discover the personal stories of the American service members buried at this sacred site. Visitors will be able to choose a portrait of a service member honored at Aisne-Marne American Cemetery then visit the corresponding headstone, where ABMC staff will share—in English or French—the story of that individual’s life and military service.
Through these personal stories and moments of human connection, visitors will gain a deeper understanding of the people commemorated at the cemetery and how their memory is preserved for generations.
Activity information: A face, a story, a memory preserved – Sept. 19-20, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. CET
